Pamporovo PLC management has decided to cease the activity of Pamporovo ski area from March 17th until March 29th.
Due to the state of emergency in the country and considering the health and safety of all guests and staff of ski-zone Borovets, the ski-zone will close as of tomorrow - 17 March.

Zugspitze & Garmisch-Classic are closed from March 16th until further notice
Due to the latest developments in nearby Tyrol Bayerische Zugspitzbahn Bergbahn AG will close Zugspitze and Garmisch-Classic area starting from Monday, March 16th 2020.
For Zugspitze there will be a limitation of guests on Sunday, March 15th. Cable Car Zugspitze and Gletscherbahn cable car will be limited, too.
These precautional measures are aimed at combating and limiting the spread of COVID-19.

Swiss ski resorts are the latest to announce they are closing immediately due to government advice on the fight against the coronavirus.
Zermatt
Dear guests and winter sports fans of the Matterhorn ski paradise! "We regret to announce the following decision: The Zermatt ski area will be closed from tomorrow, 14 March 2020 until at least 30 April 2020 due to the current coronavirus pandemic".
The winter sports area Arosa Lenzerheide will be closed with immediate effect (including the weekend).
The SkiArena Andermatt-Sedrun is forced to stop operating immediately. Disentis is going to remain open until March 15.
Flims-Laax-Falera: Due to the current situation regarding the new coronavirus, the cantonal authorities have decided to suspend lift operations as of next Monday, 16 March, 2020. We are also inconsolable about the early end of the season in the LAAX ski resort.

Crisis: Ski resorts in Austria shut down due to the coronavirus
The ski areas in SalzburgerLand have their last day of operation on Sunday, 15th March, 2020. Moreover, all of the tourism operators in the federal state of Salzburg, such as hotels, B&Bs and other forms of accommodation will be closed from Monday 16th March, 2020 (the last day of operation).
The same applies to Vorarlberg and Tyrol ski areas.
Norway ski resorts
Four of Norway’s biggest and most popular alpine ski resorts (Hemsedal, Trysil, Hafjell and Kvitfjell) shut down all their ski lifts on Thursday. The closures came after both local and national restrictions on outdoor sporting events were announced, in an effort to stop the spread of the CoronaVirus.
Hemsedal was closed for the rest of the season, reports newspaper Dagens Næringsliv (DN), while Trysil was closed until further notice. Both are owned by Skistar of Sweden, which expected that other ski centers in Norway would be closing as well.
Hemsedal officials have also called for closure of all hotels and other lodging and restaurants for the next two weeks, and urged owners of holiday homes in the area to stay where they actually live. The goal is to reduce crowd contact, while state officials banned all organized outdoor and indoor sporting events.
It means a huge loss of business, with Hemsedal and Trysil together generating skilift revenues of more than NOK 400 million per season. Skistar’s shares fell on the Stockholm Stock Exchange after the closure order came around 3pm.

Italian ski season ended early as ski resorts shut to prevent coronavirus spread.
Rome, March 9 - Regional Affairs Minister Francesco Boccia announced on Monday that all ski facilities in Italy will be closed, starting on Tuesday morning.
"We have decided to close all of the country's skiing facilities starting tomorrow morning with a decree of the civil protection department," the minister told a press conference in Rome.
